Mite-biters queens have their origins at Harpur Bee Lab at Purdue University, our stock is derived from these genetics. They tend to be darker and produce more propolis. Honey production tends to be over 100 pounds, and overwintering in tight clusters. They are very hygienic showing brood removal when we test them using Harbo (reproducing mites in cell) or Buchler (pin-killed brood) assays.
We ship using US Post Flat Rate small box ( usually less than 10 dollars ), we will adjust shipping downward accordingly if you order multiple queens.
