Mite-mauler queens are bred from redline genetics that were selected for chewing.
They tend to be lighter and produce more honey. Honey production tends to be over 120 pounds, and overwintering inside. They are very hygienic showing brood removal when we test them using Harbo (i.e. reproductive mites in cell) or Buchler (pin-killed brood see below pic) assays. Very gentle in nature, and tend to maintain larger colonies, with good brood nest management so they will not starve. Pollen hoarding in the brood nest is common with these bees, see pic below. Bob Carpenter (below) selected redline bees for leg chewing back in 2015, this where we got our foundation stock from him back then.

We ship using US Post Flat Rate small box ( usually less than 10 dollars ), we will adjust shipping downward accordingly if you order multiple queens.
